I am looking for a replacement Trane Thermostate that can be set at 40 degrees just to keep pipes from freezing. I have the above and it is a 30 volt, a.c.1.5 amp, mercury thermostat. I have purchased simple digital honeywell thermostats but they will not work on automatically turning on the heat. It will run if you put it on "ON" only.
