When he left he wrote me an email stating that I could keep the money in the joint account and also the deposit on the flat however, 7 months on he said unless I gave him half he would take me to small claims court. He is likely to win? I do have the email from him saying that I could keep the monies.

He walked out 6 months ago and emailed me to say that I could keep the monies we had in the bank and also the deposit we had on our flat. He now says that if I don't give him half he will take me to small claims court. What is the likelihood of him winning, (bearing in mind I have it in writing from him that I could keep the both monies).
