Inducer Constantly Running
Hi All,
I have a Gibson (Nordyne) gas furnace, and am having issues with the inducer. As soon as there is power to the furnace, the inducer starts running and doesn't stop until I cut power. The furnace will go through 1 heating cycle. But won't kick back in for a second cycle when called for. The error I'm getting is the three-blink "pressure switch closed, inducer off" even though the inducer is running.
I've checked the pressure switch, and it's fine. I've checked the vent safety switch, replaced drainage tubing, adjusted the angle of my vent pipe (about 10 ft across the basement to ouyside wall), and put in a new thermostat. Nothing. Any thoughts?
Oh, and one more thing - I just noticed I need a new... gasket?. between the inducer and condensate box. This one is a little fried, probably because (originally, I thought this was the entire problem) there was a dead mouse acting like a cork in the drainage tube running from the inducer exhaust/vent pipe junction to the condensate box. Does anyone have the technical name for this part so I can order a replacement?
Thanks to any and all who have advice to offer!
