Someone bought me a couple horses for a early Christmas gift and now say they want them for their own.
Can they do that? Take them away from me,after giving them to me.

If they have receipts with proof that they paid for them legally I think they would have a case in small claims court. It would be your word against their word if it was a gift or not. Unless maybe you could prove that you have been taking care of them and keeping them at a stable or something like that, then maybe you could fight back.
Yes I keep them at my place,feed/water/shelter. He has never bought anything for them and I have all reciepts for that.He is not nice to them and I sure don't want to see any of them go to him the way he treats them.Anyway,he gave them to me,
He don't even have a house to live in now. He is trying to get disability and fighting the sysytem over other legal issues and may go back to jail for no support payments to his ex.I would sure hope that this would all matter.
Why on earth, with all his problems, would he want two horses?
Exactly. He has gone from bad 2 worse got the horses for me for Christmas early present and then things got terrible. He complained all day thanksgiving and called the food junk, then tried to accuse me of being with another man. Each day, worse.
A friend of mine thinks he might have got them plotting something. So he could treat me that way, then if I don't keep him he will take the horses. He is so mean to them.I couldn't stand him to have them. We are done with,by the way.No more us
Is he an ex or a "good friend"?
I'm a lover of horses and hope they can stay with you. May I ask, how many do you have now and in which state do you live?
