    Why?
    Couldn't I store tea, vitamins? No hot water - so how could the lead leach?

    Those lovely old vases with lead in the make up were never meant to store anything. Same as lead crystal. Wine or liquid cannot be STORED in them, but only served and emptied after.

    I answered before, no, don't store anything in those vases.
