My boyfriend and I had unprotected intercourse a week ago today. For the past three days Ive been feeling a slight heaviness in my uterus, some cramping, Ive been urinating a lot, Ive been secreting a lot of clear thin disharge and have been experiencing some nausea/breathlessness. Is it too early to be feeling symptoms of pregnancy and could I be pregnant? Also, we had intercourse about 3 days after my period finished, is this a peak time for fertility or no?

It's way too early to be experiencing symptoms of pregnancy.

Also, usually your fertile time isn't right after your period.

Having said that, it's possible. Any time you have sex, protected or unprotected, pregnancy is possible.

You'll have to wait until your next period is due. If you miss it, take an hpt using first morning urine.

If you're not pregnant, and you don't want to be, the only way to minimize the risk is to use at least 2 forms of birth control. There's still a chance of pregnancy even with 2 forms of because, but you lower the odds considerably. With unprotected sex it's just Russian roulette. It's not "will you get pregnant?" it's "when will you get pregnant?".

It's too early to say that your pregnant. Unless you skip your period. But if you really confused why don't you use pregnancy test so that you will find out.

It would be too early to test. She only had sex a week ago.

Ive been told that its possible to feel some symptoms a few days after conception, or to just 'feel' pregnant. Do you know if this is true? Im not worried about getting pregnant, it would be a joy if I was, just would like some answers as to what to look out for

Did you watch the video I posted? It will give you more information about how pregnancy occurs, when the egg is fertilized and implanted. At a week after sex it's not likely that you're feeling pregnancy symptoms, especially since you said you started feeling them 3 days ago, which would have been 4 days after sex.

The only way to know is to wait until your next period is due. If you miss it take a pregnancy test.

It's important to learn how your body works, how pregnancy occurs. There are great books and videos explaining how pregnancy occurs, the timeline between sex, fertilization, implantation etc.

Thrush in the mouth or vaginal yeast infections are common in pregnancy. You should see your doctor first to confirm what is going on. Plain yogurt (look for acidopholus) can be helpful whether it is an oral or vaginal infection. You can ask your doctor about actual acidopholus capsules and/or one of the over-the-counter medications such as Monistat. Your doctor may prefer one sort of treatment over another.

Since it is early pregnancy, a helpful idea would be to ask your doctor about what can be used in pregnancy for various common ailments. Go in with a list: congestion, cough, sore throat, diarrhea, yeast infections, etc.. That way you will know ahead of time what you can take if something comes up during the pregnancy.
