    Father's rights taken away
I live in Ohio, and I have a 2 1/2 year old. His father moved away to Washington State when he was 10 days old, and has not seen him since, and has also not paid any child support. He recently had another baby about 6 weeks ago and is sitting in jail in Washington State, for abusing his daughter. He is looking at a few years in jail, and has gotten his rights to his daughter taken away just recently. My question is, is it possible for me to get his rights to my son taken away, due to the recent child abuse charge?

Its possible. But since he he has had nothing to do with your son and is currently in jail, why waste the time and money it will cost?

If and when he makes any attempt to contact you or your son, then you can see about terminating rights.
