What to do after being accused of car hopping
Well it was the night of black Friday, November 27th, I was hanging out with friend A when friend B called to play Billiards after he got off work so me and friend A went there and played at 11:30PM to 12:30AM -1 AM. So after billiards we went to friend A's house to get a few things so after that friend A told us to drop him off at a local convince store so we dropped him off, Friend B went home and I went to another friends house to hang out for a few house. At around 3:30 friend A called me and friend B to meet him at micky's D's to eat so I went there and ate with him till about 3:55 AM. Friend did not have any bag or anything else on him which seemed visible. So after we ate he told us to drop him off at the same convince store at around 5 after 4 in the morning. Friend A and B went in the same car and I followed them there.

When we got there friend A asked us to hang out with him late at night and I told him I was going back to stay with my other friend for the night and friend be said he had to go home. So I went back to stay the night and found out next morning from friend B that friend A was found in a high class neighborhood and a officer was cruising the neighborhood late at night around 5 AM and spotted him walking around there. The officer took him home where his mom made him tell the officer that he was car hopping (going into other peoples cars and stealing valuables such as pods, wallets,GPS,loose change, ect). He told the officer and friend B and I was with him when I was at my friends house when it happened who will vouch for me and friend be was at his house when it happened and his father will vouch for him.

The cop did not arrest friend A to my knowledge and I'm not sure if he was found with stolen property. I have not got a call or a visit from the police yet or a detective. I have no stolen property or anything like that and neither does friend B. Should I be worried and what are the charges he can get for car hopping and if I can be dragged into this situation?

    Hello j:

If somebody snitched on ME to the cops, I'D be worried. Even if I didn't DO it, I'd be worried.

I don't know what they'll charge him with - maybe NOTHING since he gave YOU up.

They don't have anything to charge me with, I don't have any stolen property and I wasn't there when the police found him

    Hello again, j:

Cool. Then you have nothing to convince them of. So, don't talk to them when and if they come.
