Loud vibrating sound after flushing toilet, using wash basin
    Hi,

The townhome I am living in is just 5 years old. From the last one and a half months, in the master bedroom toilet, we have been hearing loud vibrating sound after we flush the toilet or even after we use the counter top. Initially, about a month back, we would hear this sound only once each time we flushed the toilet. Slowly the number has been increasing. Yesterday after we used the bathtub, we heard this sound around 10 times. I am not very familiar with plumbing. I am thinking of getting a plumber. I was wondering what this noise can be. If it is trivial, I will try to fix it. I would appreciate any help.

    Thanks!

: What you hear is the washer vibrating sgainst the ballcock seat. You can go at this two ways. (1) you can lower the pressure by turning the angle stop located below the tank until the noise stops or, (2) you can shut off the stop and remove the three screws on top and cup your hand over the top and just crack the stop enough to flush out any trash that may be in there. After you do that pull the washer out of its holder and flip it over in its holder and reinstall the top and float. One of the two should do the trick. If not click on back and we will go to plan B. Good luck TOM
