Delay of period, after having it the last month.
I gave birth last aug. 27. I never breastfeed my baby because my nipple is inverted. Last October I had my 1st period and until now (nov) it doesn't come. I took twice pregnancy test and it says negative. What could be the reason why my period is delay? Help me please..

Because you just had a baby. Having a baby will really mess with your hormones, and there's a good chance that your period in October wasn't a real period, it was just the end of post-partum bleeding, which can last for weeks.

It's virtually impossible that you give birth at the end of August, and you were ready to conceive again mid-September, which is what is required for a real period on October 1.

Lochia, or postpartum bleeding, can last for up to six weeks after birth.

In my period last October it last for 5 days.. is it still post partum? I really don't know what's happening to me.. I already asked my ob and she said I maybe had a pcos. I told her that when I'm still single, I'm skipping once or twice in a year.

Normal lochia lasts for up to six weeks. You probably won't bleed all that time, but in fits and starts. If you bleed within that six weeks, which your first period was, it's almost certainly still lochia, and not a true period.

Normally, if you never breastfed, then you could expect your period to return about 8 to ten weeks after giving birth, but it's quite normal for it to take a lot longer. If your period before pregnancy is inclined to skip occasionally, then it's even more likely that you didn't have a true period.

In any case, don't worry about it. Women are not supposed to be fertile immediately after having a baby. Nature tries to arrange it so you have breaks between pregnancies. If you are having sex, then use birth control because this is a time when it's very difficult to predict when you'll become fertile again.

Just having a baby can cause your periods to be irregular for a few months, even without breastfeeding. Use birth control if you are having sex. Is this what the pills are for?
Prior to giving being pregnant, did you have a history of irregular cycles? See what happens in the next few weeks and whether you have a period for December.

Just as a side... there are ways to help with breastfeeding when you have inverted nipples, so be sure and ask for help with it if that is something you would want to do.

Only your Obgyn could say for certain, but the chances are that it was not a real period, just part of the lochia.

In any case, you are not pregnant, so it's just a matter of waiting for your true period to return, and making sure you use some other form of birth control in the meantime.

I was wondering since you had said that your doctor mentioned possible PCOS. Irregular cycles are common with PCOS and I was curious as to whether there were other reasons it might have been suggested other than simply because you haven't gotten back onto a regular schedule after recently giving birth... which in itself is not unusual at all.
