Please can you help me I bought my ex a car out of my savings and have proof of purchase of buying the car. He always said he would pay me back but never did. He has the log book and his name on the insurance but I have proof of purchase that I bought him it. I have texted him to get it back but no reply to text. He has went back to his wife after a 2 year separation, I feel so used as I also lent him £1000 pds in cash which he never paid back either.

Do you have anything in writing that he agreed to pay you back. Sounds to me like it was a gift or a court would see it that way.

No Scott nothing just a verbal agreement that he would, really am so stupid trusted him implicitly :(

Sorry to say its an expensive lesson learned. Next time get things in writing.
