Hya what it is I have been on Microgynon 30 for 5/6 years I have missed several pills in the last month of the pack 9 pills in total. I had some spotting throughout the pack which I know was down to the missed pill. I am now on the 7th day of my 7 day break and have had light spotting (Brownish) which is unusual for me as I usually have a heavy period every month without fail. Could there be a chance that I am pregnant and would it show on a test if I did one as I would be in the really early stages. I have been sexually active throughout the month with no other protection. Hope you can help thanks

There's a possibility of pregnancy, even if you didn't miss the pills, but more so because you did.

You can try an hpt (home pregnancy test). Use first morning urine, it's more concentrated and therefore more accurate.

Thanks for the advice. How soon can you take the home pregnancy test before it shows up positive will it show negative if I'm only 1 or 2 weeks pregnant?

It depends on the person. Some women get a positive even before a missed period, some women never get a positive result, even in their ninth month.

The best you can do is to try the test, use first morning urine. If it's negative, wait until your next period is due, and if you miss it, take another test or go to your doctor for a blood test.
