    Statute Of Limitations
I have a probation violation in Virginia. I was arrested in Missouri and served ten years causing a violation in VA. That was 12 years ago now. The warrant is still out. Will they ever drop the warrant? And if not, I am on parole in MO. Wha can I do to get them to reinstate the probation. They refuse to extradite me

Statute of Limitations only applies to how long they have to start prosecution. Warrants never expire.

If you want to clear up the VA case, you need to do it through the VA court.

    Hello r:

I was thinking the same as Scott. They've got you by the short hairs.. The reason they won't extradite you is that they know that if you want to clear the warrant, you have to do it in THEIR courtroom. Once they have you there, they'll arrest you... Ok, maybe I'm just being cynical... Nahh.. I'm not.

In my view, the ONLY way to clear up your Va problem, without causing you MORE trouble, is to hire a Virginia criminal lawyer.
