I got the depo shot in October, and my first period with it was 13 days long. My second period, I cannot tell how long it has been, but I do know it has been over two weeks. My question is will the depo shot ever help my periods stop or lighten them. I am breastfeeding my 15 month old (hoping she'll ween soon) I have two children and I'm 25 years old and not overweight.

One of the unwanted side effects of depo is prolonged bleeding. You may want to discuss this with your doctor as depo may not be the right birth control for you.
