The problem with community control probation?
I have a probation officer who is very vindictive. I was recently placed on community control probation in orlando Florida, and during my first month. I petition the court to go out of state for work and was granted the motion. My only stipulations were to give my cc officer my agenda and Iteniary. However, even after I got the court order my CC Officer said I could not go, my attorney told me to just go I have a court order. So I went and she said I still did not have permission and I would be VOP. She did not vop, but recently I got my license back because the DMV says my suspension was over. She says it was not over had said I could not drive. However I did drive to get a haircut and she said now she will VOP me for driving when she told me not to, because my license is suspended. So since she VOP me I will probably be arrested for driving with a valid license. It just doesn't make since when I ask her when I would hear something she said no information will be given. So here I am day before Thanksgiving scared as hell because I might be taken to jail at anytime.. Any suggestions, because this totally sounds vindictive I even have supporting documentations in forms of email.

    Hello o:

I agree with you. I've HAD PO'S like that. Your PO has a tremendous amount of power over you. You're going to have to decide whether you're going to lay down or fight.. Neither of those options are good, but the PO put you into this situation - not you.

IF you're ready to fight, the first thing I'd do is write your judge a letter telling him EVERYTHING you told us. Send a copy to the PO AND the PO's supervisor. Send your letters certified, return receipt requested.

In terms of your being arrested today, I wouldn't worry about it. If a PO is going to arrest you, they don't tell you first.

Yes, time to hire an attorney and fight in court over it.
