So you get 4 checks for $250, is it weekly or what. He can pay you weekly, monthly and can also be weeks behind without breaking any law, why do you ask?

An employer can pay you on any schedule he wants as long as it is consistent. If he wants to give you 4 checks a week that's fine as long as he always gives you 4 checks per week or that you get your entire weeks pay by the same day every week.

You say "late" so is it late or merely in small amounts several times a week
