2 switches 1 light and 2 outlets on same circuit.
I replaced a light that's a simple black and white in ceiling, light worked fine. I replaced the switches wiring exactly how existing switches were wired. Now I can't turn light off or on from either switch. The light and outlets do work from the breaker I tried 2 and 3 way switches. On one wall I have red, black, and white wires. On the other wall I have white and two red wires. 2 wall outlets also share this same circuit. The power to the light is capped off in the wall with the 2 red wires. With all wall wires disconnected and separated the black is hot on one wall and a red that feeds from one of the outlets is hot on the other wall. I tried the black as the common with the red and white as travelers on one wall and I have the feed from the outlet as the common on the other wall with the other red and white as travelers. Where have I by passed light because my switches doesn't control the light at all?
