Home ingredients to get rid of my acne
I am 14 and play sports. I try to wash my face at least twice-a-day. I still break out, and it is very embarrassing. I want to feel confident about my face. What is something I can do to help my acne. I heard there is certain things that I have around my house that I could use to help cure my acne, for example toothpaste. Is that true? If not, what are some things I can use around my house to help do so. PLEASE HELP ME!! :(

    Hello,
Some of the outrageous home remedies I heard of was: preparation H (haemorrhoid cream), your own urine (nasty one), visine (supposedly this one really works to get rid of the redness), toothpaste and salted water.

My advice is to have a dermatologist examine your face and he/she will be able to assess what creams are best for you. Then you won't have to deal with them anymore because you will have the proper treatment in avoiding them all together. By using stuff around the house, you really don't know what will work and you might even worsen the zits. So to be on the safe side, I would book an appointment asap. As was mentioned in one of your other replies, DO NOT PICK AT THE ZIT no matter how gross it is because then you WILL SCAR! Hope this helps!

I don't recommend using toothpaste on acne prone skin, toothpaste contain ingredients that can irritate the skin. There are inexpensive over-the-counter acne treatments that can help treat your acne. Benzoyl peroxide, resorcinol, salicylic acid and sulfur are the most common over-the-counter medications used to treat acne. Each works a little differently. These medications come in many forms, such as gels, lotions, creams, soaps or pads. You will find these at your at your local drugstore or pharmacy.

If you don't notice an improvement from the over-the counter products after 6 to 8 weeks, consult a dermatologist for a proper treatment.

Hey there! Um Honey is supposed to be really good.
Tooth paste works, because it soaks up the oil on your face, however it will leave your face rather dry. I recommend that one of the best over the counter products is Clean and clear, there's a three step one that works quite well, but unfortunately I can only buy it when I have money, and that isn't very often. (I'm 16)
Or use anything with Benzoyl peroxide.
    Hope I helped!

Seriously, some people might think this will make your skin worse or sounds totally crazy but rubbing alcohol really works. It clears the skin really good.

Oh and I just remembered sea water does absolute wonders. If your near an ocean take a dip. In a day or two your skin seems clearer but the next day it goes back to the way it was previous to the dip, so you have to do it regularly.

Using egg whites is a good mask to use. Milk is supposed to help your face too. I use these regularly and my face has improved. A steam once a week helps. An herbal tea bag put in the steam helps too. :)

I completely agree. Do not use toothpaste, it does not work.

If you have acne, then you can go to a doctor/dermatologist and they will suggest products that will definitely work.

    Hiya :)
I have a friend just like you, who is very sporty and suffered from quite bad spots and she went to the doctor for medication and since then they have really cleared up!
When I get a spot, I tend to put sudocrem on it, and overnight it reduces to half its size, or disappears so I would recommend this although it only works on certain skin types, and different things work for different people
Drinking lots of water supposedly helps, and I use lots of tea tree products on my face, such as a night time treatment gel, and a peel off face mask, which have helped lots.
    Hope I helped :)

This will take care of all sorts of skin and acne. Use unflavored jello, you can probably get that at most grochery stores and milk. Any kind of milk, doesn't matter which kind it. Then use a table spoon for both ingrediants & ster it really good until it looks abit dry. Then dump it into a microwaveabel cup & leave it in for about 10 seconds. It should look abit gooie after that, then just use a foundation brush. One that you will not miss & just apply it too where ever you'd like too remove dirt & oil. Wait for it too dry, you'll know when it's done when you can't smile. :) Than just peel it off & you can see what you got off. It's a pore strip. Works really well! So please, try it. Thanks & Enojy. :)

All you need to do is either get 2 or 3 eggs and crack it open then stir it up then get a rag or a sponge,or a little cooking brush and just put it on your acne problem.

Tea tree oil is pretty good for blemishes, dab it on your spot(s) before bed.
If it doesn't work go to your doctors and ask for some 'Erythromycin' tablets
They're really good, I took them and 2 weeks later my spots vanished and my skin looked A lot better, but after about 5 week, your spots MIGHT appear back on your face again so make sure you always get another box of tablets!
After you took a box of tablets wait 2 weeks before you start taking them again or they will stop working..
    I hope this helped
    Thank you
