Debts to foreign banks in another country
I got a 3 year contract working in UAE and the probation period was one year. After 18 months I was terminated and lost my job. Since they made me pay even the money I had received for settling down, I left without paying my cedit card debts. I had credit shield insurance and I wrote to the bank and sent them a copy of my termination letter as proof. Now, after more than 18 months collection agency in UAE threatening me. My question is could they sue me in Canada? After more than a year? What can I do?
