I was caught stealing but not charged, will this show up on my police clearance?
It was only a couple months ago I was at work and my little brother felt the need to steal some stuff from my work. Little did I know I thought he bought it, so when I went to walk out from work the theft girl stopped me and my brother and took me into a little room and called the cops. I got fired, but the cops put me in handcuffs and took down information about me. They didn't charge me! But I just had to pay a fine! Will this show up on my police clearance, I really need to know I need this for a job?

I don't think you were not charged since you were being fined. Otherwise, where did the money that you paid for the fine go?

The best thing for you to do in order to know, whether you were criminally charged or not, is to request for a police clearance. Then, you will find the answer.

    Hello L:

There really is no such thing as a "police clearance", or a "background check". Like anything you buy, there are GOOD background checks, and bad background checks. IF your prospective employer really, really wants to know about your background, he can find out ANYTHING. If, however, you're applying for a job flipping burgers, your employer probably won't hire a top notch background company.
