Hi, I need help making a connection. Thanks!
Hi, I have purchased an IR Illuminator to go along with my CCTV cameras and I don't know how to make the connection to the power supply. There are six wires, red (12V DC), orange (GND), black (EXT IN (GND)), yellow, green and brown (EXT IN (HIGH, 5V-9V)). Here is the link to the manufacturer's website: http://www.cnbusa.com/en/html/produc...seqx_prod=1060

You can check out the "manual" there. I couldn't make anything of it. Thanks for your help!

Your link to photos isn't working...

As to the other question... the EXT is used when you want them to come on with your camera..

but that isn't used in auto mode when it basically works dusk to dawn.

In a Security system its essentially on during the dark hours as the camera runs 24X7.

in which case pin #6 takes a positive DC power in the 5-9 volt range. Pin #3 is the ground for THAT power, the +12 volt is self explanatory, Positive to pin #1, and ground to pin #2.
