common law relationship and limitation on court dealings
My partner lived with a woman in a common law relationship for 4 years. The relationship ended 5 years ago. This woman is still seeking compensation from him. Every few months (8-10 months) he gets a call or letter from his lawyer requesting something or another by her (money, truck, etc.). The last call from his lawyer was September 2010 seeking a court date.
They have been to court numerous times and a judge has ruled on a fair settlement in the Fall of 2009. Her latest claim (September 2010) pertains to 'constructive trust'. I have checked CanLII and found http://www.canlii.org/eliisa/highlight.do?text=destructive+trust+AND+cohabitati on&language=en&searchTitle=Search+all+CanLII+Datab ases&path=/en/bc/bcsc/doc/1994/1994canlii3250/1994canlii3250.html which applies to this situation but in reverse.
My question: Is there a time limit as to how long she can keep harassing him on this issue? This issue pertains to laws in Ontario, Canada
