    What OS?

There are wyas to do it but there a ways around Windows methods. For example are you trying to lock it from someone who uses your same profile to loginto the PC or do they have their own?

If they use the same profile and they know your login password then this will be pointless because Wndows defaults the encrypt folder password to the Windows lgin password. If they don't know the password then use this way. If they have a separate profile then just use NTFS Permissions to restrict them from viewing the contents of the folder.

In order for me to help you more I will need more information on, who you want to lock it from, how they log on, how you log on, etc...

    Let me know!

When I say OS I do not mean windows or MAC. I mean is it Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, XP, Vista, 7 etc... depending on your OS, there are different ways to go about locking folders.

How can I tell you the right way if I don't know your OS

Users use many software to lock their folder but you can do it manually by a small code.]
    * right click on your folder and click rename.
    * at the last of the folder name paste".{2559a1f2-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}".
    * click outside the folder its done you can see folder is locked .
