    Leaking Center Valve in Shower
Hey, doing a little home repair today. Whenever we turn on our shower, water flows from the center tub spigot as well. I replaced the seats and washers on the hot and cold valves then I replaced the entire valve on the center diverter stem. Still leaks... pretty badly... Can anyone help...

Open up the diverter a little and turn the water on. Now snug up the topmost nut until the leak stops. Good luck Tom

Thanks so much for the tip, Tom! I did try it, however, there is no water coming from the actual stem, even though the diverter is brand new, it just won't divert all of the water when set to the shower position. I tried cleaning out the shower head... incase it was blocked and forcing water back down... but that wasn't it either. I've been searching online and calling everyone I know, but we are all stumped. Its about 1/4 of the actual water flow, coming back out the spigot when the shower is on. :(

Then the diverter stem isn't seating properly. Take it apart and see if there isn't a chunk of old washer or something stopping it from seating. Good luck, Tom
