I am 55. I am a diabetic.( I take 1000mg. Of Metformin a day) I had a partial hysteroceomy(left my tubes and ovaries) when I was 28yrs.old. I haven't had sex for the past 8 years, until just recently. I have noticed some very light bleeding after intercourse but the worst problem is the pain! It is an unbearable pain and my partner can NOT get his penis in all the way. Even if we use a lubicant--there is still incredible pain on the inside and the penis won't go in all the way. I now have pain from my belly button and down --days later. What can this be? Help

This sounds like a condition I heard of a few years ago where the muscles within the walls of the vagina become tense and contract. Any amount of deep breathing or relaxation methods seem to fail. The forcing of the penis through the walls of the vagina might be causing the bleeding, and the pain might be resulting from the pressure as well. I honestly cannot remember how it is treated, but I know it is manageable. Try visiting your gynecologist because the chances of them hearing about something like this is likely. You might also want to try different positions which might help. I know a lot of women who experience pain during intercourse prefer being on top. I hope this helps. Good luck!
