My employer informed me he owes the IRS 78000.00 in payroll taxes.
My Employeer/boss just informed me he hasn't been paying the payroll taxes all year although he has been deducting it from my check. He owes 78,000 in back taxes. Will I still be able to get a refund? Who will be responsible to pay these monies due to the IRS?

I would imagine that he has committed some kind of fraud. If he didn't remit payroll taxes to the IRS he would have been getting quarterly notices informing him what he was in arrears. So, he still owes the payroll taxes, you have already had them deducted. He will have to remit to his employees, somehow, the proper forms at tax time so they can complete the previous year's taxes. So, yes you will still get what is owed you, but if I were you, and you have every right to find out, what he is going to do about the payroll tax arrears.
