    Embarrassing...
My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and we have a lot of trouble with sex. I'm too tight for him to be inside me and its painful when we try. This is very frustrating and I want to know if there is any fix for this? Sometimes we have no trouble at all, and other times the pain is unbearable. Help :(

Do you use lubrication? K-Y Jelly perhaps?

Hmmm. The two Adult Sexuality Experts are not online right now. I'm sure one or both (or others) will offer you some good suggestions on how to make this easier and more enjoyable. Could you check back now and then to see if anyone has followed up?

Yes, I've been checking back about every 30 seconds since I posted lol. I'm worried he'll get bored with me if we can't be intimate together.

The most common cause of painful intercourse is too little vaginal lubrication. Your partner may be trying to insert his penis or finger before you've had time to become excited enough to become lubricated.
    Maybe foreplay can help?

I need to know how old you are before I can answer this question.

Most likely lubrication issues. Not how big he is or how tight you are.

If a baby can go through there... any guy that's ever been alive can.

I assume you have discussed this with your Gynecologist and you don't have any conditions or physical abnormalities.

First, make sure there aren't any medical issues.

What is different between the times you have no problems and the times you do? Was there a difference in how aroused you were or how you got aroused (mainly mentally or physically)?

What form of birth control do you use? If condoms, have you tried different types? Even with extra lubrication, you could be having a reaction to what the condom is made of or lubricated with.

The vagina may be able to stretch enough to allow a baby to come out, but nature provides a large assist in the way of hormones that make the tissues more elastic. Arousal can act the same way to make it easier for penetration.

If you are dreading pain, the anticipation of being hurt can cause the body to clamp down.

If your mind is on other things like school or work, you may not be getting fully aroused.

Women tend to need more build up in the way of arousal. We aren't really made for quickies. Anticipating the 'quickie' can be very arousing and is sometimes over looked as part of the foreplay leading up to intercourse.

I suggest getting a sex toy and experimenting. A vibrator can also help relax the muscles.
