It's a girl/woman thing, ferszty. We females have heard about being pregnant and having babies from moms and aunts ever since we were toddlers and playing with our baby dolls. We've practiced being pregnant with a dolly tucked under our shirt and have always had a nursery full of Betsy Wetsy and Tiny Tears and Cabbage Patch dolls that we "feed" and diaper and play school with and read to and have tea parties with and, in general, be mommy to.

Well, there you go! Mom is probably sharing all sorts of information with her daughter about how things feel, especially since the daughter is nearing adulthood and can empathize.
