I want to get into the field of acting, I am an engineer was doing a job which I didn't like so I left it , It's a very dicey filed of acting & I am confused what to do.MY dream is to become an actor however I am afraid of the thought that nothing would work out & I would neither be at a good position in my work & in the acting field as well

There is only one way to find out, and that is by testing the waters, so go out there and try it out if it doesn't work be happy that you are a skilled person enough to grab a job.

I assume that you have been active in you local theater, such as community playhouse, or dinner theater. If so what have your directors, co-stars say about your ability?

Do you have an agent, have you taken acting lessons, Do you do any local ( often non paying) parts.

Have you looked into moving to an area where there are a lot of acting roles and finding some job there till you find an acting part

It's definitely risky business. There's no guarantee that you will succeed. The bigger question is, would you regret not even trying at all?

Maybe it's more about doing your best to see what comes out of it, rather than setting a goal that you might not achieve.

Maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey.
