Wiring my garage for a 230 VAC single phase welder
I am trying to wire a 220 outlet for my 230VAC single phase welder in my garage
I have a 60a double breaker is it as simple as black and white w/ red stripe wires to breaker and green to ground? Thanks for any help

What is your question? The 2 pole 60 amp breaker will give you 240 volts, and the green is the ground.

    Thanks tkrussell
My question is how to wire the box
My wire is type nm-b 12/2indoor with ground
Do I just connect the white and black wires to the breaker to get 220 and green to ground
My confusion is the neutral (white wire) inside the breaker box

Whoa where did the #12 come from? Not on a 60 amp breaker. What is the size welder you have? Give me all the nameplate detail.
