    Ceiling fan won't reverse?
I have a hunter ceiling fan with remote control. I had the fan running and switched it into reverse using remote control. I heard a popping sound and the fan slowed down to a stop. I hit reverse again and the fan started.
Now everything works except the fan will only work in one direction. When I hit reverse, the fan just slows to a stop. I can hear a clicking noise in the fan when I hit reverse on the remote so I know it's getting the signal.
Hunter says it's the receiver and I have ordered another one, but I am sceptical. I know I wasn't supposed to hit reverse while fan running but honestly I'd been doing it for years with no ill effect. Is there a part I need to replace? Fuse? Switch?
Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks in advance!!
