    Closet Flange
I am starting my rough in plumb. This is new construction and the finish floor is not in place and toilets are the first and second floor. This is all PVC. When do I install the closet flange? During the rough in stage of after the finish floor? Will the plumbing inspector be looking for the closet flange in the rough in inspection?

Also I was planning on running a 3x4 closet bend, 4” stub up through the floor then attaching the closet flange to the stub up. Is there anything else that I will need? Is there something else which is mounted to the plywood sub floor before the closet flange? Thank you.

    After the finished floor.

No, you will install a test cap on the closet stub up, all stubouts and a test ball in the house clean out before you fill the stacks with water and call for a rough in inspection.
3)Is there something else which is mounted to the plywood sub floor before the closet flange
No, just leave enough room for the flange to set square on the finished floor.
    Good luck, Tom

Wow! Thank you for the quick reply. I wasn't aware that I had to fill the stack with water. I was told I need to run a min. air persure in the stack, but will I also have to fill the stack? Or is in one or the other?

In my area we fill the stacks, check with your building department to find out what the inspector wants. Good luck Tom
