Thanks for the response regarding stereo switches. I thought it was possible I had to remove sterring wheel as you mentioned in my first question. Could you help guide me to deactivate air bag/removing it & pulling off horncap/steering wheel to access stereo switches on steering column on 2000 Blazer. I can always rent or borrow a steering wheel puller.

It's not that you have to take the steering wheel off to do this. But if you don't already know how to get there, this isn't the best time to learn. There are many steps involved and if you don't have the experience with these systems, I'm recommending you take this to someone who does.

Capt.Rich, One thing I have been learning it's good to learn. I did find a couple screws behind the switches which releases the back plate but still does not expose them. Maybe you could help me and I can give it a college try. Thanks for response
