    Ismall businee eviction
    I am small business owner in fleamarket . Rent paid by week. I have paid rent in advance for the whole month of nov. i have receit for payment but have not signed contract yet. Manager pad loced my booth shut. She's upset about comment i made to other vendors'. Can i remove lock to open for businss or what should i do?

    With regard to residential situations, a landlord can be penalized for ousting a tenant like this. But since it's not residential, the rules are probably different. What state are you in.

    Why not just sue the LL in small claims for treble damages, make sure you bring your rent receipt and a picture of the locked booth. What's with the caps?

    It does appear that the LL breached the (verbal) rental agreement, but until we know what state OP is in, we don't know whether treble damages are available.

    Also, OP asked whether he/she can cut the lock and re-enter the premises. Again, we don't know enough to answer that yet.

    Damages are presumably accumulating daily. So small claims might not afford complete relief.
