Need some pointers to get the ball rolling
What's better then getting straight to the point, so I will. A good friend and I drive for a small trucking company and we want more out of life than what we're getting out of it. We want to make the kind of money that we know that's out there in the trucking industry. We've got a basic plan of attach, the contacts for great paying loads, the motivation and drive to where failure is not an option. So my question is simple, well hopefully, what needs to be done first, second and so on. We don't want to go buy trucks and trailers and not be able to have them go to work asap. What we need to know is what to do to get to that point.

    Thanks

    Hello c:

    Cool. Hope you get rich...

What you need is a business plan. I like Business Plan Pro. It costs about $50 and will walk you through EVERY decision you have to make and get you going in the right direction... It's been a couple years since I've been in that software market, but I wouldn't be surprised to find there is business plan software specifically FOR the trucking industry..

I'll look into that and thanks for the tip. This industry is a money maker if you do it rite. Like I said, we have the connections for great loads but are kind of stumped on the whole business part of it. Any more info you may have will be helpful.
