My dad is a meth addict. He neglects me when his girlfriends are around and when I have a vey important question he yells at me to go away if he's in there with his girlfriend. One time there were sparks coming out of the socket when I pluged something in and I went down to his room and asked him about it but he was in the room having sex with his girlfriend that is not even supposed to be around and he told me to go away and I repeted the question. After awhile he texted me and was yelling at me through text message. This is not the first time something like this has happened. My mother lives at my house as well. She is never home and has really never been there for me. Just has just moved in with us about a month ago and before that she was jumping from house to house when she got a new boyfriend. I have a really good friend that I always stay with and her family is like my family. They come to my school and sighn my report card and is always there for me. Id really like to be adopted. I can't stand the way my dad and mom treat me. Is it possible for me to be adopted by my friends mom?

Have you talked to your friend's parents about this? And what state are you in? Laws will vary from state to state.

Also, even if your friends parents are willing to take you in, a judge will want to see proof of the neglect and anything else that makes him and your mother unfit to care for you. Have you talked to a school counselor or anyone yet?
