    Water on floor of condo
We live on the 12th floor of a 20 floor condo. Today the condo had the water shut off for 4 hours while a plumber worked on 2 units above ours (14 and 16 floors). This afternoon after the water was turned on we noticed the carpet in our hallway was soaking wet (it took about 5 big towels to get most of it up). This carpet/hallway is right outside one of the bathrooms. There was no water coming out of the sink or under it or the toilet. In fact the floor in the bathroom wasn't wet (except where the soaked carpet had a little big of spillage that seaped into the bathroom floor). There was no water coming from the ceiling or down any walls in the area. Where was this water coming from? Is there a way that water can come up from the floor? At this point in time we are still trying to dry out the area and we're not sure if there is still some kind of leakage. Got any ideas?

My guess it if they were working above you today, then the water leak may be coming down the inside of the wall and onto your floor. If that's the case it's probably a leak in the shower plumbing or somewhere else that can get between the walls. Put the biggest fan you got on it. Blowing air will dry it faster.
