Can I change my mind after signing a temporary gaurdianship(notarized already)
I signed temporary guardianship over to my ex mother in law. She provided the form and we had it notarized together. It has an expiration date of one year. She has had some discipline methods I don't agree with including refusing to let me see him as punishment for his bad behavior. She also grounds him from the phone and won't let me speak to him at times. Can I retrieve my son from her as this did not go through the courts and her son (my ex husband) did not sign this guardianship, or do I have to get a lawyer? I don't think she is going to willingly let him come home.

First any question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

In some areas a guardianship would have to be ratified by a court, in others not. I suggest contacting an attorney who can advise on the legality of the guardianship.
