If bail is set what options do i have?
We need much more details here.
Bail allows you to stay out of jail until your trial is complete. That's all.
If i show up for court. Do i still have to pay bail bondman?
First, please don't start new threads with the same question.
A bail bondsman essentially loans you the money to make bail. If you show up for court, the bail is returned. But you still have to pay the bondsman their fee for advancing the bail money. If you don't show up, bail is forfeited and you will owe the bondsman what he laid out for you.
The money you pay a bail bondsmen is hiis "FEE" it is not your bond, he keeps that money, you do not get it back.
If you post your own bond with the court, lets say it is 100,000 bail and you put up 100,000 for bail, you get it back.
If you pay the bondsmen 10,000 to post the 100,000 bail, he keeps the 10,000 and you get nothing back. Plus if you don't show up, you and/or who ever signs for you, will owe the 100,000 to the bondsmen
Judges are responsible for setting bail. Because many people want to get out of jail immediately (instead of waiting up to five days to see a judge), most jails have standard bail schedules that specify bail amounts for common crimes. If the bail is option the only option which have, an arrested person can get out of jail quickly by paying the amount set forth in the bail schedule.
