Shower w/o diverter. Will a diverter tub spout give me a shower and bath option?
Had k-t14776 and k-304-ks recently installed. Now I'm told I have no shower capability. Will purchasing a diverter tub spout give me options for both a shower and bath?

The first item you mention is only a trim kit, is this your valve Kohler K-304-KS Rite-Temp Pressure-Balancing Valve - It has a shower option, did you have a working shower with shower pipe and shower arm before you started the replacement? I have not installed one of these but it looks mostly like a shower only valve. Is that what you bought?

Yes, there was a similar post a couple of days ago. HD carries them for about $35 plus you need a hand held shower.

Agreee, here is a very cheap version. Amazon.com: Tub Diverter Spout for Hand Held Showers: Health & Personal Care: Reviews, Prices & more I don't care for the look but you attach the hand held to the side of the spout

    Hi Njstar...

If you have a shower head sticking out of the wall go with the spout at the top of Ballenger's link.

If there is no shower pipe/head sticking out of the wall then go with Ma0641's suggestion (click on his link).

Let us know what you have (pipe out of wall or no pipe), OK?
