Best thing would be to see your doctor about having a blood test done. There is some concern about the St Johns Wort effect on the birth control depending on the type.
If you have been taking it for quite sometime, don't stop taking it until you determine whether you are pregnant and your doctor directs you to do so. There are some alternatives that may be better suited for use in pregnancy.
The late period may just be that; late. How late are you? Birth control pills can effect cycles for some women too.
I am 2 weeks late and have never been late a day in my life.
I reread your first post and saw the test you had was a blood test. It may be then that your period is just off this cycle. Wait and see what happens when the next period is due and test again at that time if need be. You could always ask for another blood test (a quantitative one) before that time for additional peace of mind. You may want to speak to your doctor to get their recommendation on using St. John's Wort along with certain birth control pills.
