If your hair is in good shape, you should be able to recolor using the shade you want.

Lemon juice. It works great. Soak your hair in lemon juice and let it dry under the sun. rinse and your hair should change color.

You need to take it to a golden tone... this will neutralize the "greenish" color that ash colors are famous for (especially under artificial light). This can be done with a toning neutralizer (found at beauty supply or sometimes walmart), but if you are not in an area where you can find this product you could use a med, golden brown, which will neutralize the green tones. From here, you will be able to use the medium reddish brown or more cinnamon colors and should have no ashey tones. Hope that helps.
