The fan/light is controlled by two 3 way switches (which I checked for loose connections and were fine) the light comes on a little over a second after the fan (which comes on immediately after hitting the switch). Is there any reason for this delay? I have checked an rechecked all of my connections/wiring/switches and the problem appears to be between the fan and the light which work exactly as expected (except for the delay)

Some CFL lights are slow to kick off and 1 second is about right.

Yeah I get what you're saying I have a bunch of those all over the hoouse - but the lights that I put in (they came with the fan) are regular 40 watt candelabra based bulbs. I have another fan with the same bulbs in my bedroom and they have no delay. I'm sorry I should have said that info in my first question - thanks for the help anyway

Do you get the same delay with both switches, identical?
