As young adults, we are constantly reminded to observe abstinence. Most elders condemn the practice of having sex before marriage. For them, virginity is a sacred gift that one should give their future spouse. Women are considered disgraceful to lose virginity before marriage. However, most women today have liberated themselves from the curse of the hymen. No longer is virginity an issue in marriage. We all have to understand that sex is normal like taking a bath everyday or brushing your teeth every other meal.
