    Do my wife have to put me on her 1040 this year when she files if i get ssdi this year

    No, she does not HAVE TO, but she should if she files Married Filing Separately and you are NOT filing at all.

    Further, you probably CAN file JOINTLY and get all the benefits thereto if the SSDI is your ONLY source of income.

    If you file joint return a part of your SSDI income may be taxable if your total income (joint income) exceeds a certain limit ($32,000).
