When are mosquito bites a concern?
My 6yr old son got several mosquito bites yesterday. Today they are about the size of a 50 cent piece. They are red, raised, warm and hard. If I apply pressure he says they hurt. I have given him benadryl and ibuprofin. He does not have a fever or headache. Should I be concerned or just let them run their course?

Well if it shows these symptoms for more than 3 weeks then you should consult a doctor, try a stop anything infecting it, keep it clean.

Apply cool washcloths to the bites, and watch for any discharge that may indicate infection. He may be allergic to mosquito bites. For itching, try calamine lotion, or call your doctor to see if he recommends anything like Benadryl for the itching, or Ibuprofen for the swelling.
