Hippa law violation--what can be done ?
Most doctors have strict rules regarding hippa and privacy laws. They do not release information to anyone except the patient... I have one doctor.. who is a semi family friend, who even after I told her not to talk to my parents or family, has released prescriptions to them and everything... which has affected my life and health in turn... yet, isn't this against the law?
My father is a doctor... and my mother just has access to doctor privileges in that way... what they all are doing... seems illegal to me... what rights do I have as a patient, and my family and doctor, breaking hippa laws in this way and what steps can I take... is this considered medical malpractice?
