    Wall heater problem
My wall heater often failed to respond to the thermostat (750 millivolt). Sometimes if I tapped the thermostat it would come on. I replaced the thermostat with a new one and replaced the wire as well, making sure all connections were clean and tight. This seemed to help, but now it seems to be back to business as usual. If I move the thermostat control back and forth numerous times, eventually it will come on. Also, when the heater is operating, sometimes it will shut off without reaching the preset temperature. I don't just replace parts hoping I'll get the right results. Any ideas? Thanks

Generator may be getting weak, you need to see how many millivolts it is generating.

Make sure you replaced the old thermostat with a millivolt thermostat

    drilnfil disagrees: Obvious

After reading some of the questions that are posted here nothing is obvious. But if you give more details when you ask for ideas I am sure more would be forthcoming without asking the so called obvious questions.
