I pierced my own Cartilage yesterday and it doesn't hurt and I'm fine and what not and I got my cartilage pierced before but it got infected and closed so I perced it in the same spot yesterday, but I was wondering what are the chances of my cartilage shattering?

As far as I understand its pretty darn noticeable early on if its shattered. If it doesn't hurt now just go and get some disinfectant healy stuff, and take care of it like normal, if you are really concerned about it shattering or being shattered, talk to whoever you buy the cleanser from, most probably will take a peak at it for you.

The chances of you shattering your own cartilage are quite low because you're not using as much force as say a piercing gun would and you would notice if your cartilage had shattered as the top part of your ear would've collapsed. What you should be asking yourself is if its getting infected.. because you did it yourself its like 1 in 50 chance it won't get infected. Just keep cleaning it 2/3 times a day with a salt water solution (half teaspoon sea salt in warmed distilled water) or a piercing solution you may have gotten from a piercing parlour. Just to be safe id say go into a piercing shop and ask them anything, theyd be happy to help. I hope this helps.
