Tick
It can for some women, it might also be due to your gallbadder which can act up in pregnancy as well.
Try the usual for heartburn and see if you get some relief:
*graze throughout the day instead of eating large meals
*try not to eat the last few hours before you go to bed
*for some women just an extra glass of milk helps
*ask your doctor/midwife about one of the over-the-counter medications for heartburn (Tums and Gaviscon are popular choices, but any medication should only be taken as needed. Too much, for too long, can cause other possible problems)
*prop yourself up at night so that you aren't lying flat
*avoid foods you know might cause you problems
If you don't experience some relief, or the pain gets worse, let your doctor or midwife know.
